iQiyi’s fifth suspense drama in its highly-acclaimed “Mist Theater” series—“The Long Night” is making headlines again. Premiered on Sep 16, the 12-episode web series has received a 9.2 out of 10 on China’s TV and movie review site Douban, which is the highest score that any drama series produced in China has received in the past 20 months. “The Long Night” features a multi-character narrative structure comprised of three timelines, calling upon the audience to piece together clues to understand the story’s logic. Hollywood is Making a Movie Biopic of Chinese Pianist Lang Lang

Two-time Oscar-winner Ron Howard is going to direct a movie biopic of virtuoso Chinese pianist Lang Lang, produced by Imagine Entertainment, AGC Studios and CAA. The project, based on Lang Lang’s memoir “Journey of a Thousand Miles”, will chart the story from Lang’s childhood to his young adulthood in Beijing Central Conservatory of Music and later his improbable journey to America where he became the globally acclaimed musician that he is today.
