‘Frozen II’ Sets for November 22 China Release

Frozen II, a sequel to the 2013 animated movie Frozen, has been scheduled to hit theatres in China on November 22, the same day as in North America. It is the 58th animated feature produced by Disney. The film follows Elsa, along with Anna, Kristoff, Olaf, and Sven, embarks on a new journey to Arendelle in order to find the truth about Elsa and Anna’s parents’ death, and the origin of Elsa’s magical powers. Tian Zhuangzhuang Directs Film Again 10 Years After ‘The Warrior and the Wolf’

Tian Zhuangzhuang, one of the representative filmmakers of China’s Fifth Generation film movement, is shooting a new film named Cry of The Birds in Yunnan Province. Based on a novel entitled The King of Trees written by Ah Cheng, the film will be Tian’s first directorial work in ten years after his 2009 film The Warrior and the Wolf. It stars Vanda Li, who has signed with Wong Kar-wai’s Jettone Films, Zhou Qi and Yue Xiaoqi. Read more on 1905.com
