Matthew Morrison Joins Cast of Chinese Film Crazy Alien

Recently, Chinese director Ning Hao (Breakup Buddies, 2014) starts shooting his comic sci-fi movie Crazy Alien, which stars Chinese actor Huang Bo (Lost in Thailand, 2012) and American actors Matthew Morrison (Glee, 2009-2014), Tom Pelphrey, and Kat Nelson. Crazy Alien is scheduled to release in China on February 5, 2019. In a recent interview, Ning Hao mentioned that he had hired top international studios to create special effects for the film. Chinese Documentary Wins the Top Prize at the Locarno Festival

The 70th Locarno International Film Festival announced this year’s award winners on August 12 (Beijing Time). Chinese director Wang Bing’s Mrs. Fang wins the festival’s top prize Golden Leopard. This is the 6th time a Chinese filmmaker wins this award. Premiered at Kassel Documenta, Mrs. Fang documents the last days of an ordinary Chinese women Fang Xiuying who dies of Alzheimers. Who are China’s Top Grossing Actresses?

Recently, Chinese movie news site Mtime conducted a research to find out who are China’s highest grossing actresses. This research only targets Chinese actresses who were born after 1980. According to the final report, Bai Baihe ranks Number one. Movies that starred Bai as a lead actress grossed 5.75 billion yuan in total. Number two is Zhang Yuqi (3.83 billion yuan), who starred in Stephen Chow’s The Mermaid. Not far behind are Yang Mi (3.54 billion yuan) and Fan Bingbing (3.45 billion yuan). Read more on Mtime
