The 10th Beijing International Film Festival Announces Opening Date

The organizing committee of the Beijing International Film Festival announced yesterday that the 10th edition of the festival will be held from August 22 to 29. The festival was previously scheduled to take place in April, but was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. A promotional video clip released by the festival organizers features a string of celebrities sending their best wishes to the 10-year-old event. Several Chinese Films Selected by 77th Venice International Film Festival

The 77th Venice International Film Festival announced on Tuesday the line-up of films to be screened in and out of competition in Venice this year. Chinese filmmaker Ann Hui will be presented with a Golden Lion award for lifetime achievement at the Venice Film Festival, setting a record as the first female director to earn this top honor. Her new film “Love After Love” is also included in the festival’s “Out of Competition” section and will premiere in Venice.
