Marvel releases official trailer for upcoming movie, ‘Eternals’
Set to be released in November 2021 after being delayed a year due to the pandemic, Eternals follows an immortal alien race that reunites on Earth to protect humanity from the evil Deviants. The film’s trailer shows a diverse cast under the direction of the recent history-making Oscar winner, Chloe Zhao. Crazy Rich Asian’s Gemma Chan plays Sersi, who is sympathetic to humankind’s plight. New Film Reflects Epic Changes in Rural China
As the first of its kind, Zhanqi Village — a cinematic feature to reflect China’s epic changes in the vast countryside thanks to the country’s rural revitalization policies — will open across Chinese mainland on May 25. Based on real stories taking place in Chengdu, Southwest China’s Sichuan province, the film tells the story of a village Party secretary who leads local young people to seek opportunities and develop distinctive industries. Ding Yaping, head of the movie and TV program research institute of the Chinese National Academy of Arts, said the film blends multiple perspectives, ranging from elites to grassroots ordinaries, giving the audience a more comprehensive understanding of the changes in rural China.
