Mahua FunAge’s Stage Play ‘I Am An Actor’ to Return to Theater in Late March

Recently, Mahua FunAge’s stage play I Am An Actor confirmed its March 28 reopening in Shanghai, becoming the first live performance event to take place since the 2020 Chinese new year. The theater will take precautionary measures by fully disinfecting the venue, checking audiences’ body temperatures, controlling capacity and requiring mask wearing throughout the show. As of this writing, Shanghai has a total number of 346 reported cases of COVID-19. Among the 346 reported cases, 324 have fully recovered and been released from the hospital. Today, the Shanghai Film Distribution and Exhibition Association also release a guideline for business resumption of movie theaters, although a reopening day for cinemas is yet to be determined. Wanda Film to Raise Up to RMB 2 Billion Amid COVID-19 

Wanda Film Holding Co. Ltd., the operator of Wanda Cinemas, stated on March 10 that the company planned to issue RMB 2 billion (USD288 M) worth of bonds in response to the company’s current financial needs. According to the statement, the funds will be used to cover the company’s operation costs, debt repayments, liquidity replenishments, investing activities and more. Read more on TechWeb
