Streaming giant Tencent Video recently announced a list of several dozen new series to be released on the platform in the near future. Among these upcoming series, the adaptation of Liu Cixin’s Hugo Award-winning science-fiction novel “The Three-Body Problem” has caught wide attention as the memory of a failed film adaptation of the trilogy is still fresh. Although the date of release has yet to be unveiled, Tencent Video released a concept poster and a list of major cast members for the project, including director Yang Lei, well-established actors Zhang Luyi, Yu Hewei and young actress Wang Ziwen. ‘Mulan’ Is Heading to Disney+, With Theatrical Releases Still Set for Open Markets

Disney officially announced that it will move the much-anticipated live-action film “Mulan” to Disney+ on September 4, but with theatrical dates are still planned for markets that are open by that time. Notably, the film is only available to Disney+ subscribers if they are willing to pony up the additional “premium access” payment to view the film on the platform. Taking the film off the table for theatrical release is a big gamble, considering the film’s colossal $200 million budget.
