iQIYI Partners with Malaysia’s Media Brand Astro to Explore Oversea Markets

On November 6, China’s online entertainment platform iQIYI announced a strategic partnership with Astro, the leading media brand and entertainment service provider in Malaysia. It is the first time that iQIYI partners with a digital application outside China. Through the partnership, iQIYI will cooperate with Astro on marketing and localization of iQIYI services in Malaysia, while Astro will be able to benefit from iQIYI’s operational capacity in terms of technology, products, and content. Users in Malaysia can use their email addresses, Facebook or Google accounts to register for new iQIYI accounts, or use their Astro account to directly login to the iQIYI App, iQIYI’s international entertainment platform launched in June 2019. ‘Jojo Rabbit’ to Open The 4th International Film Festival & Awards Macao

On November 5, the 4th edition of the International Film Festival & Awards Macao (IFFAM) hosted a press conference in Macao and unveiled the first batch of films in the lineup. The Scarlet Johnson-starring film Jojo Rabit has been set as the opening film of the festival, which takes place from November 5 to 10 this year. Chinese-language film selections include Diao Yinan’s The Wild Goose Lake, Lou Ye’s Saturday Fiction, Pema Tseden’s Ballon, and the recent box office hit Better Days.
