Hainan Island Festival Launches Industry Section H!Market

The 2nd Hainan Island International Film Festival officially opens a new industry section named H!Market. It will become a permanent section of the Festival along with the competition, screening and pitch sections. Similar to other international film markets, the H!Market will include an exhibition area for participants to set up booths, industry screenings to facilitate sales, and panels and network events for attendees to connect and exchange. German Horror Film ‘The Silence’ Set for August 30 China Release

The Silence, a 2019 English-language German horror film directed by John R. Leonetti, has been scheduled to release in China on August 30. The film is based on a screenplay by Carey Van Dyke and Shane Van Dyke that adapts the 2015 horror novel of the same name by Tim Lebbon. In the film, the world is under attack from terrifying creatures who hunt their human prey by sound, and the 16-year old Ally Andrews (Kiernan Shipka), who lost her hearing at 13, and her family seek refuge in a remote haven.
