‘Godzilla: King of the Monsters’ Gets One-month Theatrical Extension

It’s announced today that Legendary Pictures Godzilla: King of the Monsters has been granted a month-long theatrical extension in China. The film opened in Chinese theaters on May 31 and has raked in RMB 884 million as of this writing. Overall, the film has made $345 million worldwide with the largest percentage coming from China. In addition to the China market, the film is also performing well in Japan. SIFF Presents a IMAX Tribute to Canadian Filmmaker Toni Myers

A tribute to Canadian filmmaker Toni Myers is presented by IMAX China in partnership with the Shanghai International Film Festival to honor the filmmaker’s contributions to filmmaking. Known for her 3D/IMAX work, Myers’ previous works include Gravity and Interstellar among others. On June 20, a panel organized by IMAX and FT was held in Shanghai to discuss women’s pursuit of dreams in today’s world.
