Daniel Wu Slams Emmy Awards for Snubbing His Show for Outstanding Stunt Coordination
Chinese-American actor Daniel Wu recently posted on various social media platforms, slamming Emmy Awards for snubbing his show Into The Badlands. Wu believes that the show, which he co-produced and starred in, deserves to be nominated at least for Outstanding Stunt Coordination. Wu went on to comment that among the current nominees in that category, including Game of Throne, The Blacklist, Blindspot, The Punisher, and Westworld, only Game of Throne deserves a nomination. Zhang Yimou’s ‘Shadow’ Set to Release on September 30
Zhang Yimou’s upcoming action drama Shadow has been set to release on September 30 during China’s National Day holiday season. The team behind the film spent three years on the script, one year on filming, and another year on post production. The film tells the story of a man who has been held in secret captivity since the age of 8 as he struggles for freedom. This project marks Zhang’s return to his stylized martial arts filmmaking. It’s announced today that Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again has scored an August 3 China release. It also marks the first Broadway adaptation to be released in mainland China. In addition to Meryl Streep, Colin Firth, Amanda Seyfried, Pierce Brosnan and Dominic Cooper, who have appeared in the first installment of the series, this sequel includes several new stars, including Lily James, Cher and Andy Garcia.
