Chinese Short Film ‘Lao Huang’ Shortlisted in the 74th Cannes Film Festival
Focusing on the neglected psychological needs of the elderly, the movie tells a story of a man called Lao Huang who loses his wife in his youth and raises the whole family on his own. He wants to start over a new relationship but is worried about the attitude of his children. The director of the film, Lu Li, kicked off his career in 2018, with a short film called “Passenger,” which was screened at the Cannes Film Festival in 2019. Read more Global Times
