‘Avengers: Endgame’ Crosses RMB 300 Million Mark in China

Marvel’s superhero film Avengers: Endgame has earned 334 million yuan in ticket sales as of 9 PM on April 16 (Beijing time), which include more than 100 million yuan for its opening day, April 24. It has set the new record for reaching 100 million yuan mark the fastest in China. For the midnight shows on April 24, the film has grossed 94.06 million yuan, which is far ahead of the previous record 62.7 million yuan, set by Fast and Furious 8. Silver Lion Award-winning Film ‘Custody’ to Release in China

French film Custody will be released in China through National Arthouse Cinema Alliance. The news was announced on April 15 at an arthouse film forum hosted by Beijing International Film Festival. ‘Custody’ is the debut feature of French filmmaker Xavier Legrand. The film was first shown at the Venice International Film Festival and won the Silver Lion for Best Direction. It also received multiple awards and nominations from a variety of film festivals and awards, including Toronto International Film Festival, the National Board of Review, and César Award.
