With her star rising and the relationship between China and Hollywood having never been closer, it seems a curious time for Li Bingbing to sell her home in Los Angeles, for a cool US$3 million.

However, the five-bedroom, seven-bath home that overlooks a golf course is indeed on the market. The Resident Evil: Retribution actress bought the house in June 2013, and is asking about half a million dollars more than its original purchase price, according to Realtor.com.

Regardless of where she calls home next year, Li will be busy. She’s currently filming shark novel adaptation Meg in New Zealand, opposite China’s favorite foreign action star, Jason Statham. Li will also appear in Nest, a Mummy-like thriller with Kellan Lutz and Kelsey Grammer.

Li is also slated to play a new Marvel superhero in The Realm of the Tiger, announced a year ago for a 2017 release but which has gone quiet since then. Shanghai-based Fundamental Films is co-producing, with more than half of a budgeted “tens of millions” of dollars committed, according to The Wall Street JournalPredators screenwriter Alex Litvak is attached to write a script based on a Stan Lee concept.
