14th FIRST International Film Festival Announced 2020 Festival Ambassadors
On Monday, the much-anticipated FIRST International Film Festival announced its 2020 film ambassadors. On this star-studded list, we see a lot of young people’s favorite faces, including the rising actor Jackson Yee, actor Huang Xuan and actor/singer Jing Boran. Director Wen Muye, one of the most prominent young directors in China, will also take part as a talent ambassador to promote and increase awareness of the festival. Founded in 2006, the young people’s beloved FIRST International Film Festival has been working on the frontline to discover and exhibit emerging Chinese filmmakers and their films ever since. Tencent Pictures’ CEO Joins Maoyan Entertainment’s Board of Directors
On Tuesday, Maoyan Entertainment announced changes to its board of directors. Mr. Wu Cheng, currently the Vice President of Tencent, Chief Executive Officer of Tencent Pictures and Chief Executive Officer of China Literature, is appointed as a non-executive director to Maoyan’s Board of Directors. According to the statement, this collaboration between Tencent Pictures and Maoyan will help to promote the development of a quality pan-entertainment content ecosystem and strengthen their related collaborations around entertainment IP development.
