On Wednesday, Chinese streaming firm iQiyi published a wrap-up report about its 2020 hit “Mist Theater”, a content library consisted of five original suspense dramas that generated over 460 trending topics in total on Chinese social media platform Weibo this year. According to the report, more than 68 million VIP subscribers tuned in to watch the five different series including “Kidnapping Game”, “The Bad Kids”, “Crimson River”, “Sisyphus” and “The Long Night”. The five dramas have scored an average 8 out of 10 on the most discerning Chinese film review website Douban. Young Directors to Shine at Jia Zhangke’s Pingyao Film Festival

As one of China’s most influential movie events to gather arthouse enthusiasts, the ongoing 4th Pingyao Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon International Film Festival has attracted many young talents at home and abroad to screen their latest directorial outings.
