Tencent to Release Comic Book Series Based on ‘The Three-Body Problem’

The Three-Body Problem, an award-winning science fiction novel written by Liu Cixin, now has its comic adaptation. Authorized by Liu Cixin and developed by Tencent and Huan Chuang Wei Lai (幻创未来), the comic adaptation will be released on November 23 on Tencent Comics and Boodo, two digital platforms owned by Tencent. Recently, the comic series also received a special jury prize of the Waterdrop Award at the recent China Science Fiction Convention 2019 held in Beijing. ‘The Taste of Rice Flower’ Director to Shoot Chinese-Japanese Co-production ‘Seeing Nara Again’ 

On November 3, the filming of Japanese Chinese co-production film Seeing Nara Again officially starts in Nara, Japan. The film will be directed by Chinese director Peng Fei whose previous film The Taster of Rice Flower was selected into such acclaimed film festivals as the Venice Film Festival, Pingyao International Film Festival, Nara International Film Festival, and FIRST Film Festival. Executive produced by Japanese filmmaker Naomi Kawase and Chinese director Jia Zhangke, Seeing Nara Again will be shot in Japan entirely. The film is eying an 2020 release. Read more on Mtime
