Lang Ping’s Biopic ‘The Iron Hammer’ Exits From ‘We Are One: A Global Film Festival’

Originally planned to be screened for free on the “We Are One: A Global Film Festival”, Lang Ping’s biopic “The Iron Hammer” is pulled out of the festival’s lineup a day before the opening. The producer followed up with the fans of the film quickly with a statement, saying that the move to not screen on “We Are One” is because they are considering the opportunity of a theatrical release in China after the warm reception the film has received since the trailer was dropped a week ago. But the decision to go theatrical in China might not be that easy as it seems, since the film, co-produced by Olympic Channel and MSM company in Hollywood, is technically a “foreign film” to China’s film regulatory body.
