New Huayi Brothers Film Town to Open Zhengzhou in September

Jointly built by Henan-based real estate developer Central China Real Estate and movie studio Huayi Brothers, CCRE • Huayi Brothers Film Culture Town has been set to officially open on September 21 in Zhengzhou, Henan. Central China Real Estate announced the news at a press conference on August 28. Tickets pre-sales also started on the same day. Initiated in 2015,    It will first open two sections to the public: one is designed with inspirations from Zhengzhou traditional culture, and the other is built based on scenes in the film Taichi. ‘My Hero’ Screens at Venice’s ‘Focus on China’ Section

On August 29, Chinese film Life Punch  (“我的英雄”) screened at “Focus on China” section of Venice’s Marking Screening. Based on a true event, the film follows a father who tries to lose 30 kilograms in three months in order to donate his kidney for saving the life of his daughter. The film is directed by Fan Haolun and stars Jing Ke, who both attended the screening in Venice. Co-hosted by Italy’s Associazione Nazionale Industrie Cinematografiche Audiovisive (ANICA), Venice International Film Festival, Xinhua Net and other Chinese entities, “Focus on China” debuted in 2016 and now is in its 4th edition.
