Golden Rooster Film Festival 2020 Opens Application Portal for New Film Projects

China’s top film festival Golden Rooster Film Festival just dropped a poster themed “Gravity” and launched its 2020 “Film Projects” section, calling for applications of new film projects to compete in this year’s festival. In 2019, Golden Rooster Film Festival held its first edition of “Film Projects” section. It received 1262 applications, selected 30 nominations, and eventually narrowed them down to 12 winners. Alibaba Pictures Reboots Chinese Moviegoing Experience With ‘1917’

Alibaba Pictures is tapping its technologies to bring Chinese moviegoers safely back to the cinemas and help the domestic film industry to get back on track with the release of the Oscar-winning epic war film “1917”—one of the first foreign films to debut in the country since the  Covid-19 outbreak. Co-financed by Alibaba Pictures, “1917”’s China debut is part of Alibaba Pictures’ ongoing efforts to revitalize the film industry.
