Beijing International Film Festival to Host “Spring Online Film Festival” As An Alternative Option for Film Lovers

Originally scheduled to run in mid-April before the pandemic pushed it to indefinite postponement, Beijing International Film Festival announced yesterday that it will host an online film event called “Spring Online Film Festival” as an alternative for all the film lovers who cannot see BIFF’s lineup in April this year. Notably, this online event does not mean that this year’s BIFF will go online instead. There had been optimistic talk in the industry that BIFF will still be held in person later this year.
